IFS Tamali Shah: The Civil Services Examination, administered by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), is renowned for its difficulty in India. Each year, approximately one million candidates apply for this examination, yet the success rate remains exceedingly low. Only around 1,000 candidates manage to pass this challenging exam and are appointed to esteemed positions such as IAS, IPS, and IFS, with many individuals dedicating years to their preparation. However, some young achievers make history by succeeding in this exam at a young age on their initial try.

Today, we share an inspiring narrative about Tamali Saha from West Bengal, who, at just 23 years old, successfully cleared the prestigious Indian Forest Service (IFS) exam conducted by UPSC in her very first attempt, becoming an IFS officer.

Tamali Saha was raised in the North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, where she completed her primary education. She consistently excelled in her studies and had a strong aspiration to join the civil services from an early age.

Tamali began her UPSC preparation during her academic tenure, employing a well-structured plan, a strategic approach, and diligent effort. In 2020, she achieved success in the UPSC Indian Forest Services Exam on her very first attempt.

This remarkable achievement of hers got her appointed as an IFS officer. Tamali was posted in her home state West Bengal, where she is now performing her duties.
