The salary and perks of an IAS (Indian Administrative Service) officer in India can be outlined as follows:

    Basic Pay:

    The basic pay for an entry-level IAS officer is determined by the Pay Band and Grade Pay. The starting basic pay was around Rs. 56,100 per month.

    DA is provided to offset the impact of inflation on the cost of living. It is revised twice a year. The current DA rate is around 17% of the basic pay.
