One Intense Year, Clear Outcome
Nikhil Bhatia had only one focused year. FIRST IAS INSTITUTE’s one-year course gave him a calendar that left little room for drift.
He followed lecture → notes → test → correction loops without skipping the correction step. Optional and ethics received fixed weekly slots.
Prelims was approached through elimination skill and PYQ patterns; Mains through volume of evaluated answers rather than unread material.
IRS (C&CE) selection capped a year that felt exhausting but purposeful.
Nikhil’s advice for late starters: intensity works only with a mentor-enforced plan—self-made “one-year plans” often hide wishful pacing.
Back to Success Stories“I did not have three years. I had a timetable and mentors who would not let me skip tests.”
