4 Strategy

• Read Laxmikanth once linearly, then revise by PYQ chapter clusters.
• Maintain a “bill → article / institution” notebook.
• Mains: constitutional principle → institution + issue + committee/report → feasible reform.
• Practise 10-mark vs 15-mark length; Polity answers often fail on time.

5 Common mistakes

• Quoting article numbers wrongly — skip the number rather than invent it.
• Writing IR content in a pure polity question.
• Ignoring local government and statutory bodies.
• No committee (2nd ARC, Punchhi, Sarkaria) when the demand is reform.

6 Answer-writing example
